Visits - Isole di Brissago

Isole di Brissago (Switzerland, in the Ticino) are accessible by boat from Ascona. Only the big island (island of St Pancrace) is open to the public. The tours are seasonal, in 2010, from March 19 to October 24. There are subtropical plants from both hemispheres, but also camellias (80). At the time of the Camellia Festival of Locarno, a joint visit to the festival and the Islands is proposed.

We are greeted at the entrance by the camellias. Above, the former convent restored.
